Okay, I think I see where you're going with this.  I like your ideas.  How would I go about trying to implement them?  Join the school board?  Become a precinct delegate?  I don't know where to start.

If school is your primary concern then the school board is a good place to start. The key, at least from my perspective is to look for a win-win-win (i.e. Democrat-Republican-Libertarian) solution. It's not easy but there are those solutions out there but get informed because being knowledgeable is key to coming up with the best solution.

By analogy you can't stand against the wind but you can use it to power your sailing ship.
