Well, yes, like in "We the People...". That's how representative government works, and it's also why the Constitution includes Article V.

I didn't sign it or agree to it.

Of course not. Anarchists always use this argument, and it does just what they want it to, negates all possibility of any government being 'legitimate'.
Fortunately for civilization, anarchists are a very minor fringe group.

Indeed they are, at least the individualist kind, along with clear, critical, thinkers, imvho.

Anarchists of the non-individualist kind are called gangs, and they love the absence of government and hope they can become the most powerful gang around. If they do manage to become the most powerful gang around, they call themselves Kings and claim a "right" to rule.

Yes, they like to throw things through store windows near G-8 meetings and so on, and they're not individualists.

The following article maintains that "As long as the United States and its allies continue to champion the status quo...ISIS will persist or even grow."

It goes on to suggest reforms to improve the Mid-East situation.

http://america.aljazeera.com/opinion...ls-appeal.html

On the other hand, Sean Hannity asked Donald Trump on his radio show, what Trump would do about ISIS if elected, and Trump said "We would crush ISIS."

I think that there is a relevant statistic always worth remembering and that is
7 Million Tons.

The US dropped over 7 million tons of bombs on Indo-China during the Vietnam War, had over 500,000 troops stationed there in 1964, lost over 50,000 boys dead, and thousands and thousands more maimed, killed millions of Vietnamese civilians, and lost that war.

It looked to me like we won that war several times, but every time we did, we declared a cease fire and 'negotiated' until the N. Vietnamese were ready to fight again.

This article is pertinent to whatever it is we are maybe sort of trying to do in the Middle East.

In reality, it probably comes down to, do we want Russia (or Iran) to control the Straits of Hormuz?

"...the Indochinese bombing amounted to

7,662,000 tons

of explosives."
