Half of 'business' in the modern 'marketplace' is finding ways to escape that competition.
It's corrupt government that enables it.
Without "special" help from the government, businesses must compete or cease to exist.

People only lobby for "special" favors because they know the government is selling favors...

If I had the time, I'd find the link to a great lecture where one of the Mises guys (Woods or Murphy, or Block? I forgot) explain why the State can never be a competitor in the marketplace.

In any true competition, government's are not capable of competing.

All government can do is either make the same laws apply to everybody, or grant monopolies to cronies.

It's a pretty stark and clear choice.

What will happen when/if China and Russia have sound money and all the U.S. has is inflated fiat dollars?

Good article! This is the message I've been trying to impress on you for months now. You've subconsciously learned a bit and now you're making it your own. Good!

The rest of the message is, the US is fully aware of Russia/China/the Brics and has been very proactive on Russia. This is the answer for all the hacking claims bullshit and demonization of Putin.

In the good old days when America was great and the enemy didn't have nuclear weapons, this would have become a war by now.

So that's the explanation for the Cold war that's now upon us. even idiots are useful some times Jeff!

The US will be forced to revert back to sound money. Banks will need to store something in their vaults to back the money they loan.

And no more "quantitative easing".  The scope and responsibility of the Federal Reserve will change drastically.
