Yesterday, on CBS's Face The Nation, Speaker Nancy Pelosi challenged Trump to voluntarily testify before the House Impeachment committee.

"...Come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants, if he wants to take the oath of office, or he could do it in writing. . .  He has every opportunity to present his case."

Trump responded:

"Even though I did nothing wrong ... I like the idea & will, in order to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!"

Of course that's a lie.  Trump lies like a rug.  He has no intention of appearing before Schifty Schiff's kangaroo Court.

Official Prediction #027 :

Trump will NOT testify before ANY committee unless subpoenaed.

Governments will always devise ways to deprive an honest man of his money or property, and claim that it's legal.

The Oath of Office? Did Nancy really say that?

Is she competent to be Speaker of the House?

Anyway, if Trump is impeached and goes to a trial in the Senate, he will have the opportunity to testify, and to cross examine witnesses, and to supply witnesses in his defense.

Nervous Nancy mistakenly believes that Trump should feel compelled to "present his case".

The thing is, he doesn't.  Trump says and does a lot of unsavory things - no question about it.  But if dems move to impeach, chances are that Senate will not convict.  This puts dems in an even more precarious predicament.

I laughed when this thread started, but it really does seem that the Dems are determined to impeach him for something, no matter how lame.

The Ukrainian-American light colonel that going to testify and again give an opinion that it was inappropriate for Sondland to ask for an investigation of Hunter Biden will likely make a good witness for the dems.  He’s covered in medals.  None of them are combat related, except for his CIB.  But not.  Many people will know the difference.

He served his time, slept in the snow like soldiers do.  But here lately, he’s been entirely political,  picked for his Ukrainian birth and language presumably, to serve on the NSC.

For talking out of school about things said in diplomatic conversations, he should be fired, if not locked up.  But he will sound credible and even Jordan will be reluctant to go after him.

Dems were discussing impeachment strategies before Inauguration Day.  It was only a matter of time.

TDS has really taken its toll on the dems - they're the gang that couldn't shoot straight.  Practically everything they do ends in failure.

Their only hope is to convert young voters to socialism and go all-in with a socialist hack like Comrade Bernie or Pocahontas.

Creepy Joe Biden is radioactive because he wheeled and dealed with Ukraine for favors.

That toothpaste ain't going back in the tube, so DNC won't touch Joe.

Diplomatic conversations, yes, perhaps, but I thought they were talking about getting dirt on Biden? That's not a "diplomatic conversation".

Democrats have been plotting Trump's Impeachment since before his Inauguration.

It's been one lie after another, one "bombshell" after another, one failure after another.

Ironically, it is this effort to impeach that is destroying the Democratic Party.   They are coming unglued.  Dems are the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

The past 2 weeks Impeachment hearings have been a complete waste of time and taxpayer's money.

All witnesses who have testified have offered only hearsay evidence and speculation.

The whole thing is a silly clown show led by Ringleader Adam Schiff.   Many now watch it for entertainment purposes.

Only the most profoundly ignorant democrats could possibly think that the GOP majority Senate would convict the president for a crime that never happened.

Yes, Trump's quid pro quo with Ukraine was sneaky, underhanded, shameful, and despicable.

However it was NOT a crime since no "favors" were done, so it would be impossible for the Senate to convict even though most of them despise Trump!!

Recent polling has shown that impeachment is falling out of favor with the country's largest voting bloc - independents.

Even House Intel Impeachment Czar Adam Schiff seems to be 'on the fence' with impeachment:

CNN's Jake Tapper:  "Do you think President Trump should be impeached?"

Schiff:  "I want to discuss this with my constituents and my colleagues before I make a final judgment on it."

Tapper:  "And you’ve also said that what you’ve seen is, “far more serious than what Nixon did.” Explain to me how you have not come to the conclusion that the president should be impeached? I mean, it sounds like you think he should be impeached."

Schiff:  "Well, I certainly think that the evidence that’s been produced overwhelmingly shows serious misconduct by the president. But I do want to hear more from my constituents, and I want to hear more from my colleagues. This is not a decision I will be making alone."

So Schiff needs to hear more from his constituents.  Which constituents?   The Never-Trumpers or the main body of the electorate?

Where did you hear that?

You seem more on top of the news lately than I am...

They are hoping for a revolutionary groundswell to guide them.

They are meeting more resistance than they hoped for, (they hoped for help, not opposition) and don't know what to do.

The lessons of history teach that they will probably start a war if they can.
