It would be better, maybe even useful, if the people in the FBI who made the bad decisions had to pay the monetary awards out of their own pockets... Alas, taxpayers will foot the bill as usual and the perps have "sovereign immunity" so they won't be punished for breaking the law.

"Waging endless wars abroad (in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and now Syria) isn’t making America—or the rest of the world—any safer, it’s certainly not making America great again, and it’s undeniably digging the U.S. deeper into debt."

Today, the debt is $20T. if it goes up to $40T, who cares?  There's no possible way that the US can pay off the national debt now, so why is there an issue about the debt growing higher?  The projected national debt will soar to $30 trillion by 2026. It should easily make it to $40T by 2030.

The sky's the limit!!  Grin

Trump wants to make the biggest Military Force on the planet even larger. We will need to borrow money for that. And someone will need to pay the interest on those loans for Military expansion.

I have an idea!

Raise income taxes to 75% 85%. This should raise more than enough money to pay down the interest on a $20T loan!   Shocked  Cheesy   Cheesy   Grin

Didn't I tell you to vote for Johnson? You knew this before Trump was elected, he made it clear, but still, you preferred him to Johnson...

Trump is your President Chief.

"War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength."

We might add "Debt is Prosperity," or something similar, to the slogan.

Finally, the strength given by ignorance is highly encouraged in our society: never question authority, law, legal institutions, school books, history, main stream media or main stream scientific communities.

I strongly disagree with the idea that obeying authority in our society is treated with anything but disdain.

The scientific community, maybe, and Dissident pointed this out, but in any other case, rule-followers are treated in every modern capacity as idiots and animals to be trodden upon.

Really?

Civilized people who believe in the rule of law are idiots who should be trodden upon?

If that is true, we need to change it immediately.

Hanging a few of the trodders (after a fair trial and conviction) would probably have good effects... Grin
