And how China is evolving to Capitalism which will undoubtedly make it the most powerful country in the world. Don't think militarily, think in terms of China's economy.

Building huge military power to match the US is not in China's future because it's wasteful. Military might which includes nuclear capability in it's own sphere of influence is China's only logical goal.

Note too that China has not allowed the US to corrupt the advances to socially responsible capitalism. The Chinese have seen how US interference has held back Russia for years since the fall of the Soviet Union, and only in the last few years Russia is breaking free of US influence.

China will undoubtedly and capably lead the alliance that is forming to fight against the US march to empire.

"Socially responsible capitalism" that is ultimately controlled by the Chinese Communist Party  will crash and burn in the face of any economically free people.

That's why they want so desperately to get rid of economic liberty. They are smart enough to know they can't compete with it.

China is unable to compete with America?

You've got to be kidding me.

Quite true! Again you are unconsciously defining socially responsible capitalism!

No, not true at all. Anybody who read the link I posted would know that isn't true for China. It's just the opposite. Don't slip back into your dogma now. China is competing with and surpassing US freedoms already.

They've progressed to a sort of magic time where they have their past to remember that will keep them from becoming something similar to that which you describe for your own country. They are putting limits on capitalism.

This accounts for the US rush to empire throughout the world and the reason for it's wars of aggression. The economic force that is inevitable with China and it's allies is the competition the US can't afford to tolerate.

But with nuclear armed nations, US military force is out!

Let's call the other side the BRICS for now. It explains what the threat to the US actually will be.

The window of opportunity for the US to stop it from happening has now been slammed shut. China, Russia, and their allies are an unstoppable force the US is going to be forced to compete with.

I'll repeat if for you. A free economy under a rule of law will stomp a crony capitalist economy into the ground every time.

China looks good on the surface right now because Communist rule had kept them right at the edge of the industrial revolution, something America did very well in the 1800s... free people in America used new technology to create vast wealth. Many, many Chinese are still living in pre-industrial revolution societies. Cry

Once China "modified" their "communist system" to make it like pre-industrial revolution Europe, their economy boomed. Mostly all it took was making it legal for people (Some? Most? Some. The cronies and the Party mostly) to profit from their own labor. OK, it helped that they could use all the new technologies developed by more free economies.

But, as you might recall, most of Europe never really abandoned State Socialism/crony capitalism/mercantilism, so after the industrial revolution, America's very free economy (it was back then, very free) stomped Europe's into the dirt.

China's only hope to become the worlds economic superpower is to hope America does all the stupid shit Europe kept doing all along. Tongue

Good! You're getting some of it right, but some wrong. You do seem to be catching on to the idea of China becoming a capitalist society with caution. Avoiding US style greedy capitalism is their answer. It's the Cuba success story once again.

Exactly! And that's the reason why dopes like you are struggling with the libertarian idea. You must have told me dozens of times that your system is what you call crony capitalism. I agree every time.

Whereas China and Cuba are striving for the freedom you don't have and the rule of law you very obviously don't have. We should talk about that some more because you seem to be missing the point.

China went from a Communist Party controlled command economy to a form of Communist Party controlled crony 'capitalism' that could easily be compared to Mussolini's Italy or Hitler's Germany.

It's not a good system of political economy and it will fail and most likely lead to war.

Ok, so China has more freedom than the US.

Could you give us some examples of freedoms where China has "surpassed" America?

Please be specific.  Thanks!   Smiley
