There's a time and a place for everything.  I use emoticons sometimes, but only when absolutely necessary. It's a good practice to use them sparingly.

And of course, let's remember the 6 emoticon per post limit.   It's not an official rule on this forum, but it's mostly an accepted convention.

We should all recognize how important etiquette and good manners are on this forum!        (just kidding!)


I'm not going to belabour the point any futher, but just to say that your use of an emoticon doesn't take away from your posts. Jeff doesn't have any control over his use of them. I'm not sure if that will encourage him or dissuade him. Who fu-king cares?
