Basically he spends 90% of his time attacking a strawman that "not having intellectual property hurts society so have it" so he knocks that down easily cause it's a strawman.

His ONE good point is that the founding fathers and a few other libertarians never THOUGHT it was a natural right...
They certainly thought it was a good idea, that's why they included in the Constitution.

Not protecting people's original ideas and original works reduces the incentive for people to be creative. Besides, it's just wrong for you to steal my idea and profit from it.

His ONE good point is that the founding fathers and a few other libertarians never THOUGHT it was a natural right but in like the same sentence he says it doesn't matter what peeps think cause he says slavery was constitutional doesn't make it right and he kind of reminds me of Jeff cause he knows the score he's just trying to hurt big business and help the "little guy" he crappity smackin says so with all the time he spends on how intellectual property hurts the little guy well of course it does who cares who it hurts or helps once again STEALING IS STEALING.

Dude if i could make an argument how much better society is w/o laws against murder would you say murder is okay?

Well! I didn't have to listen to any more than a couple of minutes to hear him say he's a copyright lawyer who works to enforce copyrights.

Other than that obvious hypocrisy, he's a poor speaker. He has so many agenda issues on his mind that he's unable to stick with his topic. In the first 5 or 6 minutes he ran at 90m.p.h. from one hot topic to another, causing the listeners to become lost on what he was even leading up to.

In any case, he at least apologized for being a copyright attorney by saying he's not doing as much of it now!

Can anyone imagine a bigger hypocrite than this f-ing clown?

I couldn't get past 7 minutes, even though I know I should because he provides ammunition for anyone wanting to be able to mock US style capitalism. Maybe I will later?

fixed cause the rest of your post is statist trash

If something is a right like property or intellectual property you don't need to justify it it's just a right.

I am gonna give you one last chance to come to your senses so imagine you said murder, that it was wrong for me to murder you and then sell the body

Your a fing retard thinking you need the "and sell the body" part.

You are right but you are hurting the cause with your nonsense.

That's what I said.

And youre mixing peeps up with your nonsense.

It is wrong to steal ANYTHING regardless of if you profit from it or not.

If we go by what you say then Kinsella wins cause right away you are admitting you need the "and profit from it" part which is what his talk is addressing and this thread too.

You are actually making the weak strawman that Kinsella blows away and every day i see it more youre just here to hurt libertarians by making the whole thing look like a weak strawman.

Fresh hatched chickens are as dumb as the day is long. Don't blame me if they seem confused.

Anytime you steal, you gain something you didn't have before.
Splitting hairs, as you point out, doesn't change that.

I don't think it matters. Either you're going to enforce legitimate property rights, or you're not.

You can call it wasteful but the government has one legitimate function: To punish aggression.

And violation of property is aggression.

If you're saying it's wasteful and shouldn't be done then you just want no government at all.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

That's almost exclusively a function of State Law and State and local enforcement. Smiley
