It's like when you're navigating and you want to go in a straight line.  You pick a point on the horizon and aim for it.  You may never get there, but your path will be straighter with fewer steps wasted and no getting off trail if you keep your eye on that point.
Right. And if you go unarmed through a sea of pirates, you will never get anywhere at all.

So again you emulate Don_G by insulting me instead of debating me when you have no good answer?

Or do you seriously mean that freedom is not important as the fact that we call ourselves "citizens" rather than "subjects?"

It's like when you're navigating and you want to go in a straight line.  You pick a point on the horizon and aim for it.  You may never get there, but your path will be straighter with fewer steps wasted and no getting off trail if you keep your eye on that point.  Wherever you go using that method will be closer to your goal then if you keep stopping at Buckey's because you like overpriced roasted almonds and braless road chicks.

You're taking him too seriously. Your attempts are genuine but you haven't been made a fool of enough times yet.

We can always win an argument against him but there will be no satisfaction gained in doing so. Because: see above.

One way of receiving som satisfaction is that it's possible to make him angry enough to strike out in frustration! If you can't have winning then it's as good as.
