The federal income tax lawscode is about 70k pages.  That's ridiculous because: 1, it's racist because some persons might not be able to comprehend the wording of it just as they might not be able to comprehend literacy tests as prerequisites to vote; and 2, it distresses people to think that it could be changed to vehemently economically hurt some persons; that distress leads to cancer and that leads to deaths of people's lives.  One option is to have fixed incomes that the United States Federal Government could pay each person for doing job(s) obligations.

Right, and anyone CAN murder.

That's not an exact analogy, since what the president must do is spelled out in the law, and it's understood that the president can't do anything unless it has been specifically authorized by Congress or the Constitution.

Would you care to quote that part? I'm interested in whether or not your interpretation is correct?

I already know that the anything word is a misinterpretation but I can dismiss that as just overstated semantics.

If you want to be strict and technical, the President swears to uphold the Constitution and the law, and is not allowed to do anything outside those terms. No more more than any Citizen may do.

As I thought boss, it's in the interpretation of that old constitooshun.

Just interpret it the way a president likes and the sky's the limit.

That's the "progressive" idea. Nothing like the original plan.

thump, you are saying that regulations are just fine, as long as they jibe with your personal beliefs?
it's ok for govt to tell me what to do with my body?
that is religious right;s desire.
some of us, who have made use of our second amendment rights, will fight over this.
my desire for the govt is  to LEAVE ME ALONE.
as i understand it, that's what libertarianism is all about.

I can't address your complaints when you talk in generalities. If you would mention the specific regulations then I would be able to tell you whether it has to go or it's necessary.

If you think all regulations have to go then you've come to the wrong forum.

Well said, suzieqz.

Self- ownership -  the cornerstone of libertarian ideology.

All tenets of libertarianism emerge from the ideal of self-ownership.
