Really pretty disjointed article but at least he gets it right on the Koreas having a different goal than Washington. And as usual, the comments get it more right than Raimondo.

If our goals don’t match, we must detach!

Time to say goodbye and good luck!

If the US had not intervened 64 years ago, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.  We would probably be enjoying Free Trade with North Korea today.

The US needs to step aside and let South Korea negotiate a deal with NoKo for re-unification.  Yes, that means we need to pull out ALL of our troops. And weapon systems.  It would be a good opportunity to scale-down our overseas military footprint.

We know what your kneejerk libertarian talking points will say but it would be good to hear the other libertarians admit that your country is in a mess in Korea.

Not that it makes a bit of difference what libertarians think. They have very little connection to reality.

64 Years ago... Or shortly after Kim Sung created the entire universe. While I do believe we should have avoided the Korean War and pretty much every post WW2 intervention, North Korea is way to messed up to ever have a realistic trade agreement.

They have a really good deal with China now.

Do you really think all Koreans should be ruled by the Kim regime?

I just reread that.  Damn!  I should have said:

If our goals don’t match, we must detach!

Time to say goodbye and unlatch!

If the US had never intervened, there would not even be a North Korea or a South Korea. There would just be Korea.  Of course, it would be Communist.  The US enjoys a robust Trade with communist China - why not communist Korea?

little doubt that Nikki was furious at the UN over the Koreas coming together and making some progress. I think it's safe to say that she represents Trump's feelings.
