You fear the term 'socially responsible capitalism' for no logical reason

Why would anyone fear a meaningless phrase?  Social responsibility is a function for the people to perform and capitalism is the only way we keep that where it belongs

I think that's just your angry kneejerk reaction so far but that's expected. I'll leave this with you for now.

You fear the term 'socially responsible capitalism' for no logical reason. They're only word with meanings.

Welcome to Libertarian's Forum where no amount of agreement goes unpunished.

I'm agreeing with you, so why are you giving me a hard time?

Yep.  Though more specifically, a capitalist country is one with distributed economic planning and socialism is one with central planning.  Only government can do central planning because only government can use guns to force people to act against their own interests.

Canada like China and Sweden have centrally planned economies.  That they allow limited capitalism, but only for the products and services they have chosen to allow.  Since it is up to their governments to decide when capitalism is allowed, that doesn't change that since in the end all choices are up to government, they are socialist

Canada isn't socialist but it's become mandatory thinking for Americans to make it appear so. Why not go the distance and claim we are communists.

If that kind of demonizing can be reinforced, it's proven to work successfully to prevent Amereicans from even considering a more fair and equitable kind of capitalism.

You are totally capable of spewing the extreme rightist party line. It's just that more and more people are starting to stray from the flock to say: Hey, there is a way out of our country's mess.

Work had on tomline, he may begin to stray!

It's certainly not my intention to give you a hard time. I think we got off on the wrong foot, for which I will neither accept blame or try to place on you.

If we have anything in common then we'll hit on it in time. Expect approval from me when it's due but expect criticism too. And expect me to keep it civil when it's deserved.

First of all, only SkyChief is a Libertarian that I've seen.  Most of us are libertarians.  And second, why would you say that about the Libertarian Party to a socialist?

And the Internet is a bruising and bloody place.  If you know kinder and gentler forums, please point them out.  I don't see that on any political forum I join

Why criticize people that agree with you?

You see tomline, how there's no use in trying to keep it serious with this member.

I just gave up and learned to call him the pig. It elicits responses from it that are sometimes useful.

I missed this question. No, I'm not. I would imagine that communal capitalism would be somehow equivalent to communism, if not a contradiction of terms.

Is that somehow your understanding of Canada's government?
