Good idea or dumb idea for libertarians?

Ol Ron makes some good points if anybody can stand to hear him through the added babbling.

It's pretty clear now that the two major parties think Trump has lost his marbles competely with this.

I think so because the US can't afford to continue to flex it's muscles with the rest of the world. Trading partners are an asset that can't be squandered away because of Trump's need to feed the stupid people who make up his base.

That which the US alienates, China and other countries are going to be rushing in to gobble up. Trump shouldn't have jumped into the fire so quickly. His lack of success on NAFTA should have smartened him up.

However, as usual with Trump, he'll swing 180 in the wind in a few days and another crisis will be avoided.

Ron Paul would be well advised to not take Trump seriously on anything. There are other real life situations in the US he could focus on.

Both factions of the TwoParties have been protectionist at times. They do it when it seems popular. Politically, its called populism and it led to Mussolini.

No one intent on seizing power in the present in order to do "good and popular things" wants to look into the past, because they want to believe that They will do "it" right, this time...

Even though every other time it has led to disaster.
