Well, no.  No one can discuss anything in an unbiased way.  No one is unbiased.
Many people are able to set aside their prejudices in order to engage in rational discussions, or engage in scientific research, or write history.

It could be that you are hanging around with "progressive" ideologues who actually seem to think their bias gives strength to their arguments?

You've misspoken on that burnsred. It's true that everyone will have 'some' bias on 'some' topics but it's not true that nobody can discuss anything in an unbiased way.

That's not nitpicking because it's aimed directly at your assertion.

Quote:
My bias is that I wish S.K would sideline the U.S.  We'd save a hell of a lot of money that we spend defending them.

That's in tune with my bias but for a different reason. I want to see the reunification of the Koreas. And I don't stipulate terms, that's their business.

Quote:
Of course, that is not going to happen.  South Korea is understandably nervous about North Korea having nukes, so they want to play nice.  But not that nice.

I don't rule it out. I don't think you're ruling it out for valid reasons. I think that you're ruling out some 'terms'.

Another demonstration of your ignorance.

No its not, dumbass.  Trump said those things himself:

“If the sanctions don’t work, we’ll have to go phase two. And phase two may be a very rough thing. May be very, very unfortunate for the world.”  - Trump

You continually make an ass of yourself, Don_G.  Why??

Have you already forgotten that ass-kicking I gave you a couple days ago?   Smiley

Why do you want to see the reunification of the Koreas?

I know you're asking Don_G, but I can't resist.  Embarrassed

I want to see reunification of the Koreas because the US will be asked told to pack up the (Military) toys and go home.

We have a lot of Military bases in S. Korea. FIFTEEN at last count - there may be more (?)

We can save taxpayers a lot of money if we shut those bases down.   Japan may follow suit and kick the US out of Japan.  We have even more bases there!

I think that would be awesome.  I'm wondering if that would be Don's reason also.  You know, to save the U.S. money?

You know it's not so I'll treat you the same way I treated Ruby when she asked a stupid question.

I did know it.

I was trying to prompt you to articulate what actually is your reason for wanting the Koreas to reunite.

In other words,  why do you want the Koreas to reunite?

Just because they have similar names, languages and culture doesn't mean they should reunite.  North Carolina and South Carolina aren't in any big rush to reunite.

I'm not going to give you an answer. Search my posts back a couple of weeks and you'll find it.
