Jerry Brown has it sewed up. Californians are going to allow a few crackpots to break up their state.

Moonbeam Brown is an impotent has-been.  He's the butt of many jokes.  By Democrats!

It's just another batshit crazed compromise that is being pushed because of the fact that California isn't going to swing right.

These are your observations from Canada?   You have no idea about the dynamics of the political climate in California. Any more than I have an idea about the political climate in Winnipeg. It's delusional to think that you do.

Many Democrats are behind the measure as well.  Dividing California is not a partisan effort. Many businesses want the economic freedoms that other states enjoy. But they don't want to move from California.  Democratic Businesses and Republican Businesses.

The woman who asked me to sign the petition told me she's a Democrat.

You could be right about California but it's at least worth giving you my opinion:

Aside from abnormalities, it appears that the Republicans can't even hold Alabama safely. This leads me to believe that any gain by Republicans or their allies, the libertarians, is not in the cards right now.

But of course you know better don't you!

I'll just make the observation, you argue your point!

I can't comment on Alabama.  Or Winnipeg.  I can only comment on California.

The bats are out of their caves. http://soj51.org/

No, I was pretty sure you wouldn't want to talk about Alabama.

I can envision the future...

Jefferson will apply to Congress for Statehood, and Congress will accept them as a new State, saying, "Whereas the current government of California is in a State of Rebellion against the United States and our Constitution, they have no standing to object to people living in the part of California constituted as "The State of Jefferson" from becoming legitimate members of our Union.

The West Virginia precedent applies.

You promised several times to tell me who was paying you, and I did ask several times.

Israeli's would never pay you. Most likely is that they are keeping an eye on you.

The City of Escondido will join the DoJ's lawsuit against California for our "sanctuary" state policies.  Other cities intend to do the same;  Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach, and San Diego.

The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted to join the lawsuit.

California needs to split up into smaller states.  Our governor is no longer concerned about the safety or well-being of California citizens.

I told you how it can be done, but Congress would have to accept Jefferson as a new State of the Union...

As seems usual of late, the U.S. Congress is the problem.

Only a few members of Congress have any interest in the Liberty of American Citizens, and they are marginalized and ostracized.

That means almost certainly that everybody but government and their cronies in Kalifornia are most certainly going to be crappity smacked.
