It's both shameful and a shame.

You would have hoped that the Measure EE Tax had passed?

The California courts would have probably struck it down if it had...

If you say they never have, I guess they never have. I don't live there, so it's not a problem I can do anything about anyway.

They do keep voter initiatives off the ballot don't they?

If the Initiative aims to limit the powers of government, yes.

Last November, California voters gathered the required signatures to put the Three States Initiative on the ballot.

If passed, this initiative would have split up the massive state into 3 smaller, freer states.

Democrats went into panic mode because it would take away 55 electoral votes which the DNC relies on.

So Democrat lawmakers told the California Supreme Court to remove the measure (PROP 9) from the ballot!!

And they DID!!   Grin    Grin    Grin

This state is corrupt to the bone.    Its hilarious.

Quote:
San Francisco is the nation’s leader in property crime. Burglary, larceny, shoplifting, and vandalism are included under this ugly umbrella. The rate of car break-ins is particularly striking: in 2017 over 30,000 reports were filed, and the current average is 51 per day. Other low-level offenses, including drug dealing, street harassment, encampments, indecent exposure, public intoxication, simple assault, and disorderly conduct are also rampant.
Funny, I lived there for near 10 years.  I don't know anyone who bothered to report a car break in.  I suspect the actual number is an order of magnitude higher.
