People leaving Kalifornia could find a welcome, homey feel to Philadelphia...

https://www.redstate.com/diary/kentucky_dana/2020/01/06/the-philadelphia-city-co...

From the article:

"Let’s get real here: the City of Brotherly Love has been governed by the Democrats for decades upon decades. Bernard Samuel, who left office on January 7, 1952, was the last Republican Mayor of Philadelphia. Put another way, George VI was still King of England the last time Philly had a Republican leadership."

In other words, Democrats have caused Philadelphia's problems, and now Democratic Socialists are going to fix things... Cheesy

I had the misfortune of being called to do consulting work in L.A. yesterday.  I couldn't turn it down - I really need the money.  Annual inspection on the Piper coming up in March.

It's worse than I remember it.   People are really nasty.  A MetroBus turned left in front of me like I wasn't even there.  I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting it.  Then the idiot behind me starts blaring his (her?) horn.

Trash and garbage along the curbs.   Homeless tents on the sidewalks.   Yuck.

I don't ever want to go back there.

Governments will always devise ways to deprive an honest man of his money or property, and claim that it's legal.

Don't ever go to downtown again.  I don't ever go east of the 405, ever.

My friend who lives in Oakland tells me it is 100X worse up there.  The cheapest house in his neighborhood is like 1.X million and he has bums ringing his doorbell every day for handouts.

What can we fukken do?  They won't accept work!
