Trade wars are now started by "Republicans"?

Will they put in their Party Platform, that they are protectionists?

The US starting trade wars with even their allied countries is a demonstration of force. The Nazi tactic is to attempt that first before turning to military force. This is so remarkably similar to how WW2 was started.

When these sort of tactics are attempted by an aggressor country, the world comes together to form an equal or larger economic force to counter.

Hopefully we won't see this play out to the same eventual conclusion as with the 'other' Nazis. The huge difference is in the fact that the US can't 'win' a nuclear war.

And again a similarity to Hitler because Trump is probably the equivalent madman.

Libertarians view it as a demonstration of economic ignorance no matter which country starts them.

Edit: I'm wracking my brain... I think the Ancient Greeks engaged in trade wars, then they got down to real wars...

Probably it happened even before the Ancient Greeks.
