The US sends some Cruise missiles into Syria.

Russia counters by taking out a US destroyer.

Leave the rest to your imagination.

or

The god strikes both Bolton and Trump dead with lightninb bolts.

The first scenario is more likely.   Which has a lot of people worried.

Trump is furious right now because the DoJ authorized the FBI to raid his lawyer's [Cohen] home and place of business.

He wants to fire Mueller, but knows that if he did this, it would be blatant obstruction of justice, and it would land him in the hot seat before a Congressional judiciary panel.  (Impeachment)  And a guaranteed conviction.

This is an especially bad time for the US because most people tend to make bad decisions when they are either angry, or under duress (or in Trump's case - BOTH).

All the emphasis on  that story and ignoring the story on the apparent rush to war almost appears to be planned.

Not the least bit of scrutiny on the claims of a chem weapon attack and no questioning of it actually happening.

When in fact there have been several independent groups on the ground in Syria that claim no signs of any chemical weapons attack.

Is the response on this site an indication of the antiwar protest going on in the US? Or Canada? Or Britain?

It's not like this situation is unprecedented.   The same scenario played out exactly a year ago. Early April  2017, there was a chemical weapon attack on Syrian civilians.

Trump instantly retaliated with a cruise-missile attack on a Syrian airbase[al-Shayrat]. It was believed that this was the airbase that delivered the chemical weapons.

Response from Russia:  “[the retaliatory missile attack] deals a significant blow to relations between Russia and America, which are already in a poor state.”

It's quite likely there was no actual gas attack that time either.

Hope for some resistance to war:

Tucker Carlson and Glenn Greenwald. Note that Carlson feels like he has to frame his protesting around Robert Mueller. This provides the obvious implication that Trump must be resisting and that makes it o.k. for him to sound off against both the Dems and the Repubs.

But that ties in to the way Raimondo has continued to waffle on Trump. In any case, this isn't about Trump or Mueller and people shouldn't allow themselves to be sidetracked by that pretense.

I'm of the opinion that Carlson had to preface it with that in order to be allowed to get his message heard. He appears smart enough to understand that it's both parties coming together and he's likely not going to be taken in with the notion of Trump being the odd man out.

Raimondo and antiwar.com are finally over the hurdle now.

The video gets the message across very well and the apparent alliance of Greenwald and Carlson is encouraging. But obviously much too little too late.

Trump is gambling on world war. He can deflect the blame onto others and probably get away with it. And not suggesting that the others aren't responsible.

I do.

Which countries allow their people to resist going to war?
