How does this pertain to libertarianism?

Quote:
There are some people who are so brain-washed that they would rather die than to accept the obvious truth, they would rather pass on a known myth, superstitions, and fairly tale as the truth to their kids than to confess that they were dupe by con-men who say that they spoke for an invisible man in the sky.

I would suggest that no breakthrough to libertarianism is possible until this hold by organized religion is broken.

The two major parties uphold religious superstitious beliefs to such an extent that it's quite impossible to rise to higher office in government. None of them can proclaim themselves to be atheists.

But it's especially so with the extremists within the Republican party.

The LP must sooner or later break that hold and bring Americans to accept reality even though it would challenge their bliss.

Since I know you are upset when no one answers, and I don't want to take the chance of inducing AIBD, I'll answer...

But only to say that the principles of freedom of conscience are very, very important to libertarians, as is the necessity of preventing the government from being involved with any religion in any way. Not with any religion, neither to support them or inhibit them.

Mind your own business, worship if you want to in ways that you choose to worship. (Keep in mind that civilized people aren't going to let you sacrifice virgins.)

But, failure to learn the history of religion in human life will certainly lead you into serious errors in other areas where humans are involved.

You should really learn the philosophy of religion, because it is so strongly tied to moral philosophy in general.

Alas, you want morality to be completely untied from the sum of it's historical foundations so that you can institute "scientific morality" in the service of "scientific socialism".

Sorry, I confused myself, I meant to say in the service of a "socially responsible government".

All things must serve "Social Responsibility"!

Wait!  I thought libertarianism was a religion.

In the same sense that Taoism is set of beliefs shared by a number of people based on their reading  No one would argue that Taoism is NOT a religion.  So too with libertarianism.

What, and Murray Rothbard is a Prophet? Grin Grin Grin

Edit: Hey, no matter, worship what you think is worthy of worship. (Try not to be blinded by dogma, that's a recurring problem for people looking for something to worship.)
