If you force people to buy something they don't want it is a wealth transfer from those people to the producers of the thing they don't want.  Seems pretty clear. Aside from the obvious, it will drive prices up, filling the wallets of producers even more.

Well said, ahhell.  Is wrong when the government forces anyone to buy any specific product or service. That's a tell-tale indicator that government has overstepped its constitutional limits.

When this happens, it's time to de-centralize and "downsize" government.

CAL-3 initiative will be instrumental in accomplishing this!

The problem arises Chief when the government "regulates corporations" for the common good.

"Progressives" have established precedent in the law going all the way back to FDR and even the Boy Wonder that prove that the Constitution wanted only upper class elites to be in control of the economy, lest the peasants (or greedy capitalists) make bad decisions.

Now, lots of people agree that peasants shouldn't be allowed to handle money, lest they make bad decisions.

Unfortunately, lots of peasants just hope somebody will keep sending them checks...

Venezuela comes to mind...

Can't. 404 error comes up. I think it's because Ruby can't post links properly?

This one works for me too, once again. Thanks Ruby.

Maybe Donat has some app that prevents him from visiting any site other than RT and antiwar.com?

That seems likely to me, and it would explain his constant ignorance.

Edit: Ooops... was that racist? Isn't "ignorant" a "code word" used since the beginning of the Progressive Era to refer to what they called "inferior races"?

I forget who on the forum is expert in "code words"... Donat dear, is it you? Kiss

Because of your had behaviour already escalating on other threads, It's starting to look like we may have to talk about the 1k$ after all. I'll watch you for a day or so though.

Oh, and I wouldn't start assuming that's all I've got to talk about that's new!
