I disagree Chief.

Clarence Thomas is my pick for the most consistent principled libertarian.

Fair enough.   There are quite a few others who think Thomas is the most libertarian among the SCOTUS jurists, as well.

All those clinicians who "diagnosed" Trump are unprincipled and those diagnoses are highly unethical.

And no doubt they're Dems.  Being an intellectual doesn't make you rational.  Intellectuals tend to love the idea of central planning, but can't see that it crappity smacks things up.

Yes, their "professional" organizations like the APA should kick them out, remove their certification to practice.

Since this is a SCOTUS thread, there were a couple of very important decisions very recently-

http://reason.com/blog/2018/06/27/same-rules-apply-to-professional-speech?utm_me...

http://reason.com/blog/2018/06/27/breaking-supreme-court-janus-ruling?utm_medium...

Both bode well for the cause of liberty I think.

Right.

The "Goldwater Rule" states that it is unethical for psychiatrists to give a professional opinion about public figures whom they have not examined[further explanation needed] in person, and from whom they have not obtained consent to discuss their mental health in public statements.

The circumstances call for breaking the rule. It's not cast in stone and the exception is surely warranted.

Libertarians have no problem with this decision but Trump supporters first, like you, can object to it.

The big issue with this thread is going to be Trump's choice as a replacement. Ignore that mr. pseudo-libertarian.

The US gets closer to taking away a woman's right to abortion, regardless of the circumstances. The rest of the world is watching the creeping corruption.

Reason is still stuck arguing the domestic issues. The corruption of the Scotus has already moved to being set up for dealing with international issues.

Corruption needs to be established in all branches of government when it embarks on isolationist policy, military force, and economic force against the world.

Germany's courts in the 1930's can be seen as a comparison.

Pseudo-libertarians won't object. Even real libertarians in the US may give Trump a pass. So far there is no indication otherwise.
