I keep seeing people on the right railing against the sexual revolution, blaming feminists, but was it a bad thing?  Would we really want to go back to a Victorian way of thinking?  I certainly wouldn't.  I'm all for encouraging responsible sexuality, but wouldn't want to live in a society that continuously shamed our sexuality in order to control it.

I am not sure if your question is about the libertarian position on the sexual revolution or anyone's opinion about the sexual revolution, free sex, or whatever the sexual evolution was about.

No doubt the introduction of Birth Control pills changed the playing field of sexual relationships and behavior.

I think the most interesting discussion about sexual relations and personal freedom are in the questions raised about sex, DNA, human behavior in the field of Social Biology.

All human behavior can be explained by the social biological imperative to procreate. Even our desire for personal liberty is nothing more than the desire for the freedom to reproduce, thus extending our DNA into future generations of our species.

The Sex Drive, the biological desire to "bump uglies" rules over our desire for Freedom. Human beings are just the DNA's method for reproducing its own particular coding in the evolutionary process. A chicken is how one egg makes another egg.

This is true for all life forms, bacteria, plants, animals and humans.

If the sexual revolution increased our freedom to reproduce ourselves then it is probably a good thing.

Men can potentially have thousands of off-spring, every time they ejaculate can potentially generate a baby. Women's extension of their DNA code is more tied up in their baby, because they can only have one every 9 months. They have more limited opportunity to reproduce themselves and their personal DNA code than men. Men and woman have a different set of rules to play by in the sex game.

Do you see life itself as a bad thing, a cancer or fungus on our universe that is ultimately about suffering and evil?... then reproducing and promoting the extension of life is a bad thing.

Nope, not true. You got too smart by half with that one.

Nope, not true. A woman can have a baby once a month because you were comparing sperm production with egg production.

You tried to get too smart by three-quarters.

There were good and bad things about the sexual revolution.  Again, we don't need to go back to shaming people's sexuality, especially through religious bullshit, but we should promote responsibility and shame irresponsibility.

How is it not true? You never heard that before? That a hen is only an egg's way of making another egg?

That saying is about recognising equal parts of the circle as equals.

It's also very important recognising what Dual has in the understanding of policy. You might not think it's important that the person doing the wrong thing is "winning" reproductively, but evolution sure does, and evolution will smite the pants off anyone who thinks rewarding irresponsibility genetically won't have any bad effects because "people are individuals". It's why welfare is bad.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

That doesn't make any sense but if it did it would be wrong anyway. Evolution isn't going to smite anybody. Maybe you're trying to say something about brothers and sisters marrying in Alabama?

Read Dawkins', 'The Selfish Gene' and get back with me when you are aware enough to say what you might mean.

If you've read it, why don't you quote a bit of it? Quote a bit that's not readily available on the internet.

I'll wait.

All the self-reproducing cellular organisms so far examined have either single stand or double helix DNA as the genome. However, a DNA-less organism carrying an RNA genome is suggested by the fact that many RNA viruses exist and the widespread view that an RNA world existed before the present DNA world.

Many colonies and cells which have apparently looked DNA-less  have been examined, but so far, all such colonies that reformed colonies on isolation were identified to be DNA-positive.

To date, no self reproductive cellular structured living organisms that are not DNA positive have been discovered. It may be possible that RNA based viral living organisms existed in the past or in the present yet to be detected.

Chickens lay eggs to coerce humans into feeding them and keeping them safe.
