Everybody should know by now how Trump tried to change 'would' to 'would not'.

Trump has made the US the laugh of the world and this topped it off. Nobdy but Trump's teabagger supporters are dumb enough to buy this crap.

For that reason the Republican congress should tell Trump to resign now.

Hard to disagree with that.  He came across as Putin's stooge.  The only question is why.  Is he too dumb and or egotistical to see that or is he actually under Putin's thumb?

I can see an argument for it, there should be some censure at least but I'm not holding my breath.

Everyone just needs to stop hyper-ventilating...

Libertarian Rand Paul puts things into perspective:

"I think people have gotten over top on this and lost the big picture.  The big picture is that we should be engaged with Russia. We should have conversations with Russia. We have serious conflicts in various parts of the globe. It would be a mistake not to have open lines of communication with them."

"It’s important when you say the Russians meddled, they hacked into Hillary Clinton's e-mail, and revealed some truths about her that weren’t very popular. I agree they did that. But the thing is is nobody’s alleging that votes were changed, that they got into our electoral system."

Trump is not going to resign.  He will stay the course, and be re-elected in 2020.

Yes, he made a gaffe.  He's not the first president to make a gaffe, and he won't be the last.

Rand Paul is right that the US should have open communication with Russia. And I agree with him that Russia didn't get into the US voting system.

However, Rand is not being truthful on the issue because he purposely avoids saying that the Russian efforts were intended to promote Trump and more than likely did.

We can disagree on that; it make little difference to me.

Something important was brought up today that seems to me to be of much more importance. It's the suggestion that now some secret intelligence may be withheld from Trump for fear of him sharing it with Putin/Russia.

And just as likely now, other Nato countries could now be deciding to keep intelligence from the US!

I'm not sure how the Republicans are going to handle this but I think there's a chance that they will soon come to the conclusion that Trump is a loose cannon so to speak.

If Presidents should be censured by Congress for appearing to be stooges, it should have been started long ago.

Besides, if the alternative to Trump is going to be Democratic Socialists, Trump still looks better.

I think the claim is that it was unfair to reveal the truth about Hillary before the election.

It was pretty well known (I thought) that The Donald was a crony deal maker.

We'll never know if Bernie could have won the presidency. Comparing him to the very bad choice the US made, I think it's possible.

If so then the next pres election in 2020 could be won by another Bernie type. Is Demorcatic socialism that close?

Or is it more to do with Hillary being even a worse choice than Trump?

I lean toward the latter.

I wonder what sort of Supreme Court Justices and Appeals Court Judges Bernie would have chosen? Or if he would have tried for tax cuts (no matter how feeble) or attempted to rein in the regulatory machine, even just a little?

It's fun to imagine Bernie in Moscow talking to Putin about how they could collude to destroy "capitalism" (meaning America).

Easy to answer. Bernie would have chosen extreme leftist.
Bernie would have pushed tax cuts for the lower quintile and tax increases for the higher quintiles.

Bernie would have restored regulations and brought in more.

I doubt that Bernie would have attempted to collude with the Russian/Putin.

Democrats are easily as anti-Russia as the Repubs. Americans would have come together on Russia/Putin hate.

The only reason why Trump doesn't is almost 100% certain to be that Putin has something on Trump.

You've got to get rid of Trump. For this reason and the other reasons I've already stated.

If Trump's reasons for cooperation with Russia were honest reasons then I would be all for him.

I think you put all the reeason's Bernie was un-electable in a nutshell Dong.

Bernie and Putin have a common goal of destroying America, why wouldn't they collude?

A President Bernie could have been a very useful idiot for Putin.
