It was a trick question Chief, and Sacky fell for it. Grin

You're the only one who is here to trick people.

You drag down the level of discussion to apes throwing shit at each other.

With you around, no one can have a serious discussion.

You epitomise libertarianism and free choice.

A higher level of discussion requires people who don't believe in freedom so they can exploit others. Amazing that neo-Nazi forums are more civil.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

So let's have a discussion of what Sacky mentioned "the advanced inferential statistics used by doctoral level mind scientists".

Either you or the Sack can start it off... Thanks.

You spend a lot of time on neo-Nazi forums?

Do you characterize yourself as "The Opposition" on those forums?

I read the first article about killing police officers.  It is very thought provoking and I will be answering your post shortly.

Yes, we should all be brave enough to use deadly force to stop murder by an armed government official.  We should all be as brave as Lieutenant Hugh Thompson who ended the massacre at My Lai, Vietnam.  He saw a group of U.S. soldiers moving toward a group of civilians:

Quote:
"They were not combatants. They were old women, old men, children, kids, babies."

Then Thompson and his crew chief, Glenn Andreotta, and his gunner, Lawrence Colburn, "saw some civilians hiding in a bunker, cowering, looking out the door. Saw some advancing Americans coming that way. I just figured it was time to do something, to not let these people get killed. Landed the aircraft in between the Americans and the Vietnamese, told my crew chief and gunner to cover me, got out of the aircraft, went over to the American side."

We know that Americans committed a massacre 50 years ago today; and we also know that an American stopped it.
Share quote & link

What happened next was one of the most remarkable events of the entire war, and perhaps unique: Thompson told the American troops that, if they opened fire on the Vietnamese civilians in the bunker, he and his crew would open fire on them.

When armed citizens see government committing violent acts, it is our duty to stop it, unless we fear that our own life would be forfeit. We are not obligated to trade our lives for a a stranger.  But we are certainly not obligated to stand helplessly because the violent aggressor happens to represent “the law.”

But this is the spot you put yourself in when “the community agrees” that,

‘We will allow police to use deadly force but only to prevent murders, rapes and robberies.

Oh, and for people who don’t pay taxes of course.  If police can’t shoot citizens for not paying taxes, we won’t have police in the first place and it will be anarchy!  Or a caliphate.  Or socialism.  Or something pretty darn bad, I’ll tell you that.  Hmph!’

The first part of your post is nice, a welcome change from you advocating shooting any policemen that show up at your house or stop your car. Shocked

Then, you run off in the weeds.

Police aren't authorized to use deadly force to prevent robberies. Maybe not even rape, but I think they should be.

Then it gets even worse... Are you on new meds again?

Lie.

Jeff, I'm happy to debate you when you have something to say that is debatable.  You constantly lying about what I say and expecting me to waste time correcting you isn't a debate.

Discussion over.
