And of course Jefferson commissioned a small fleet of frigates and made war on the Barbary Coast tribes, even sending marines ashore. Boots on the ground! Shocked

Really? What a hypocrite!  Angry

Still, the best thing for the US is to get out of foreign conflicts.  Close (most of the) 700+ US Military bases abroad.

Think of all the American lives and money that can be saved.

It seems that an act of Congress is required to close a military base.

The last time the Democrats had majorities in both houses of Congress and a Democrat president, they didn't even close Guantanamo Bay, and no Congresscritter wants to close a military base in their District! So no domestic bases get closed either.

Why would you feel guilt for what your country does to other countries?

It's not like you have any say in the matter.

Foreign policy is made by a small handful of powerful politicians, and an even smaller handful of Deep State puppeteers who move their strings.

Shouldn't they be the ones to feel guilt?

No. If they weren't being funded by people like me, they couldn't do shit.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

I see.  So you're just enabling them to do shitty things to other countries.

I suppose maybe there IS some culpability on your part, then.

Sorry.   Embarrassed

Are you advocating a tax boycott?

You could help Red convince everyone that taxes are immoral, then everyone will stop paying taxes! Then we'll have to abandon all those military bases.

Be careful. Like any boycott, you don't want to be the only one boycotting...
