how long dose a property have to lay abandoned  for some one to live in it to take ownship of it and whaqt aboughrt the people that go to a government buy land with out even cheching or knowing its calmed by fAmilys that lived there for genaration but the paper work is not in government hands for xyz rezons what do u think of that

There are common law precedents giving long term squatters/users of land title to unused property. I don't know if they apply to your squatters or not... Probably not. In any case, a good faith effort to notify the owners of record is required before the property is transferred. Whether or not someone is paying property taxes or not is part of the equation, but usually if nobody is paying property taxes, the government seizes the property and shoots the squatters.
