Americans want a wall, (or some form of physical barrier)...
Some Americans do, but they don't really know much about it. They fantasize that what Trump is telling them about an "impervious" wall and  all of the terrorists it will stop is true.

There's lots of good information in this article-

Speaking of government shutdowns, here's how it's going-

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-shutdown-departments-factbox/factbox-impa...

It's interesting to see what the government considers essential.

"Nearly 70,000 IRS employees, or about 88 percent of the workforce, have been furloughed..."

That's 70,000 people that need to go. For good.  Our country would be so much better off without their "services".

End the redistribution.

"Tragically, two-thirds to three-quarters of the federal budget can be described as Congress taking the rightful earnings of one American to give to another American—using one American to serve another. Such acts include farm subsidies, business bailouts, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, welfare, and many other programs." - Walter E. Williams

BREAKING NEWS

Trump met with Speaker Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to discuss funding for a physical barrier on the US-Mexico border.

Pelosi flatly refused to agree on funding the construction of any physical barriers .

"Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye," - Trump

In 3 days, the shutdown will be a record, beating the 21-day shutdown which occurred in 1995 during the Clinton admin.

I like the dumb bimbo Pelosi who makes it sound like she won't negotiate with extremists ...

It's probably Nancy's plan, because she wants the unrest that will ensue when the food stamps stop coming. Nancy's background is as a '60s revolutionary. You probably knew that.

Today, Trump is headed to the southern border for a photo-op to rally support for the Wall steel-slat barrier.

Naturally, dems are furious.

Ex California Senator Barbara Boxer told MSNBC's Craig Melvin:

"We [Californians] rely on these [illegal] immigrants to clean or toilets - walk our dogs - serve our food - mow our lawns... The president is an embarrassment!"

The shutdown continues...

Boxer really said that? And people aren't jumping all over her, calling her a racist?

I paraphrased.  She told stories about her personal connections with illegal immigrants, and the importance of the menial tasks they perform.  She said the California economy would suffer greatly if it weren't for illegals.

She DID say  "The president is an embarrassment!"

Which of course is like a lemon calling a banana yellow!   Grin
