The Thread for Jeff to Answer Questions

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.

Every time I think I have asked a question that will help Jeff see the flaws in his positions, I find that I can't find the thread where I asked the question to see if he finally answered.  Then when I re-ask, he ignores me or says he already answered.

So, I'll ask any question that Jeff has not answered on this thread.  That way, if he doesn't answer it, I'll know he is unwilling, not that I just missed his answer.

First question:*

Jeff, you said that the police are empowered to arrest people that assault citizens because the citizens have given the police their proxy to exercise their natural right of self defense.  Very true and very well put!

So, my question was this:

When "a community" empower government to tax people who create or own wealth, what right are they giving government their proxy for?

Answer quickly, pleas and thank you.

*Really, all my questions to Jeff have been a variation on this one.

Kaz, wouldn't it be more interesting to follow your own advice and have a real discussion?

Yes, Cleetus, and I do follow my own advice.  Part of having real discussion is recognizing when that's not possible.   Some people, like you, are just fundamentally dishonest pieces of shit, and to attempt to have a real discussion isn't possible.  It's just wasting my time.

Enos isn't as fundamentally dishonest as you are, but he's a useless drunk who doesn't know what he's saying.  The effect is the same.  I haven't given up on Opposition yet.  He's been trained by the best at not having real discussions.  You know, you and Enos

It's weird then how I and Burnsy have so many honest discussions, but not you and Burnsy, or you and I.

And it's not like I and Burnsy agree on everything either.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

Did I go beyond "quickly"? Sorry.

Here we go, I'll give it another shot-

Rights can't be given at all, much less "given" to government. The most that can be done is to give government powers. The best that can be done is to give governments few and limited powers.

The power to tax, granted to government, is to be used to provide funding for the tasks that government is set (Edit: 'directed to' is what I mean) to accomplish.

I'd appreciate your immediate reply, which I might read as soon as I see it! Kiss

Call me Rasslas Boss, or Billie...

Are you disparaging people who can't see? Saying they are all stupid rednecks? Are you saying blind people shouldn't be allowed to vote or run for office?

Yes, Cleetus...
That means you think of me as being an "Enos" type of human?

Is your comment a result of some underlying hostility to certain genders?

Is it true that "Cleetus" is a feminine name and "Enos" masculine? Genderwise I mean...

The Sack isn't your sock puppet? Can you prove it?

Say, if I'm Enos and the Sack is Cleetus, does that mean you're Gomer? Grin
