And yet you defend government schools.  This is my point.  You think you're being an accurate anarchist, but you're not.  You don't know anything about anarchy other than no taxes, which you chant like save the whales.  It doesn't mean anything, it's all you have.

And you sound fake because you don't believe it.  Tom believes what he's saying, he's a genuine nut job.  He comes across as totally sincere though.  You on the other hand sound entirely fake

Factually, I’ve never defended the idea of government schools on this forum.  But you are free to keep setting up straw men if that is your version of pursuing happiness.

Of course you did.  You defend government teachers who are doing a shitty job.  We have the most expensive schools in the west while we get pretty much the worst results.

But the people running the education process to you aren't the problem, not at all.  That's clearly defending government schools

Teachers are just about the lowest rung on the public education hierarchy.  Blaming them for the sorry state of public schools is like blaming entry-level IRS accountants for the bizarre state of the tax code.

The person in the classroom with the students is completely irrelevant to education?  That's your argument?

So wow, why do we pay them so much then?  Let's hire minimum wage people to do the job since they have nothing to do with the quality of education in this country.

I can't believe you said that.  You truly are an idiot.

Teacher unions are particularly bad.  They have devastating impact on the quality of education because they remove teacher accountability.  You can't fire bad teachers no matter how bad they are.

But seriously, you just argued that teachers have no impact on the quality of education.  That's an incredible admission on your part, professor.  Teachers are irrelevant to the quality of education.  You actually just said that

Yes, and they drive up the cost too, but they are only one factor in why many of our public schools are so expensive and so ineffective.

As long as teachers are able to vote, this will never change.  Not unless we take government out of the education business and let the free market handle it.

The idea that education is “too important not to let government run it” is completely socialist.

Education isn't socialist #buyadictionary, but it is big government and government should not be doing it.  Socialism is an economic system, not an educational system.  Government education is however a plank of the Communist Manifesto.  But in the end, government sucks at everything it does and shouldn't be doing it.

Still, that a guy who said teachers are the lest significant factor in the quality of education lecturing anyone about education is classic.  I still can't believe you said that.

You're working so hard to troll you forgot to run your idiot check with your grammar and spelling checks ...

If SCOTUS would ever look at it dispassionately and from a non-political viewpoint, they would declare that government unions are unconstitutional, which would end the political power of "teachers", because it's not actually the teachers who have political power, it's the teachers unions.
