BREAKING NEWS

Earlier today, AOC officially announced her endorsement of Comrade Bernie Sanders.

This is not ground-shaking news.   Comrade Bernie is socialist, and so is AOC.

But there IS a deeper thing happening here - a deeper message:

We socialists are not here for Pocahontas' reformed capitalism. We socialists want socialism, and we’re not keeping quiet until we get it.

Comrade Bernie has heart problems and he's certainly not going to be considered for the DNC nomination.

AOC will carry the socialism torch high.  She will do what she can to promote extremism in the left, which actually helps Trump.

Independent voters are terrified of AOC and her "Odd Quad".    They will vote for Trump out of fear.
I'm not sure... Lot's of Republicans have always liked a really tough prosecutor, you know, a real "law and order" person who will get antifa (and anti-antifa) off our streets and lock up all the terrorists and degenerates.

Besides, The Donald has been pretty scary lately... Do you suppose it's all scripted and staged?

I think AOC is scripted and staged.  The woman is a moron.  She just parrots what her handlers tell her.

Trump is not scripted - the evidence is in his hubris and arrogance.  Even Republicans are frustrated with the things he says.

I have to hand it to him - Trump sure knows how to get his rivals' panties in a bunch!  Grin

Every day is new clown-show with the left...

AOC is back in the news after a long period of hiding from news media.

Back in July, AOC faced two federal lawsuits for blocking users on Twitter.

Former NY state Assemblyman Dov Hikind said that AOC blocked him from Twitter because he objected to AOC's comparison of U.S. migrant detention centers to concentration camps.  Hikind sued on the basis that the freshman socialist had violated his 1st Amendment rights.

The Court sided with Hikind:

“The First Amendment does not permit a public official who utilizes a social media account for all manner of official purposes to exclude persons from an otherwise-open online dialogue because they expressed views with which the official disagrees.”

To avoid a Court hearing AOC was obligated to formally apologize to Hikind:

“Mr. Hikind has a First Amendment right to express his views and should not be blocked for them.  In retrospect, it was wrong and improper and does not reflect the values I cherish. I sincerely apologize for blocking Mr. Hikind.”

Hikind was disappointed that AOC apologized, and managed to wriggle out of a court hearing:

“I was looking forward to court tomorrow.”

It's Democrats of course who are doing that to Republicans while fully believing in their typical style their own rules don't apply to themselves.

It's absurd of course that just because you are a public official you are required to provide public access to private accounts.  Then again it's absurd you can be forced to provide your tax returns for a fishing expedition, and yet AOC supports that too.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that public official's Constitutional rights are forfeit.   I would be fine with an amendment that did forfeit most of them as long as it applies to both parties, not just Republicans

Yep.

AOC should be able to block whoever she wants.

Last month Kamala Harris tried to get Trump's Twitter account suspended.  Harris doesn't like what he says, and thinks he should be silenced.

Bottom line is that Twitter is a private company.   Twitter can allow any speech as long as it is not threatening or "hate" speech.

The Democrat party is the fascist party.  Silence all opposition.  Democrats are becoming more and more like the Brown Shirts every day

Sorry Chief, SCOTUS disagrees with you on this one.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2017/06/19/supreme-cour...

SCOTUS does get it right once in a while, and Twitter can allow any sort of speech it wants to. Smiley (Even Trump's rants...)

I'm relieved to hear this, actually.

It's absurd of course that just because you are a public official you are required to provide public access to private accounts.

People have a right to know if their elected and appointed officials are profiting from their office.

Remember the old term for them "Public Servants"?

When you enter life as a public servant, your expectations of privacy are reduced. If you don't like that, don't run for office or accept an appointment.
