What are you proposing someone would do against your tactics if they were average intelligence or above?

No one can force you to address points. No one can force you to answer a question. No one can force you to stop using sand attack.

As long as I'm debating fairly and honestly, and you're not, you simply win.

I was going to suggest that once February's over, everyone just use insults and evasion tactics. If honest debate doesn't have a chance, we should all just give it up.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

Is that a joke in the title of this thread? "Jerk Me"? Grin

I was pointing out the fault in your tactics.

I am well trained in the art of propaganda. You aren't very good at it.

How would you know? I've never tried it.

All I try to do is debate honestly. I want to know where the government gets its power, and you throw sand if I ask you.

You behave like someone who knows his beliefs are contradictory and untenable, which saddens me because I believe libertarianism is valid and highly consistent.

All I was asking you was if there were some things government may not ever do, even in order to provide the essential services you listed.

If that's all you want to know, just ask.

I did.

It's a lot easier to list the things government has been given permission to do.

Your thinking is inverted as usual.

I get tired of answering the same questions over and over.

The legitimate power of the U.S. government is from the people, granted specifically (and limited) by the Constitution.

Opposition:  Where does government get its power?
kaz:  Legitimate government power comes from consent of the governed
Opposition:  But where does government get its power?
kaz:  Legitimate government power comes from consent of the governed
Opposition:  Not my question, my question is where does government get its power?

So as long as the people consent to it, and the Constitution says its okay, the government can do anything?
