It's basically the only way a society could actually approach libertarianism.  If you give folks a choice they'd choice false security rather than freedom.

The link you provided says very little makes no mention of the strong libertarian values or policies of the head-of-state, prince Hans-Adam II.

So?

I don't think relying on the goodwill of a hereditary head of state is actually a good way to protect individual liberty.

We should choose a Philosopher King? By popular vote? 50%+1?

Will there be a way to get rid of him if he succumbs to temptation and is corrupted by power?

Nope, we'd just have to hope for the best, kind of like democracy only more limited.

Yes, it's incredible what a great deal we have in life in this country in the context of all human history, and yet Americans can't wait to give it all back to live in servitude

And that's why you will never enjoy the blessings of a libertarian society.    Grin

Well, Jeff supports conquering anyone who tries to leave the United States.  We were formed based on the principle of consent of the governed.  Someone fighting a war to leave obviously doesn't consent.  At that point, we are just subjects

What?

How the head of state got to BE the head of state is not important.  The POLICIES that the head of state makes, is.

Libertarian policy = libertarian state.

Socialist policy = socialist state.
