The only drawback (that I know of) with removing the ethanol from gasoline is it lowers the octane somewhat.  So when removing ethanol, its best to start with the highest octane available.

"Somewhat" lower octane?

Does your Harley have knock sensors that can tell when detonation is occurring and take steps to save your engine?

Anyway, go for it. Smiley

No.     Knock sensors are not needed on a motorcycle.

With the cylinders only 30 inches away from my ears, knocking (pre-ignition) is really loud.

So far, I got no knocking from the fuel that had the ethanol removed.    There's still a gallon or so left.

The tyranny of a (mostly) free economy:

It's a real dilemma, whether to choose the "tyranny" of a free economy, or the "freedom" of a system like Venezuela's...

"This is Politburo based central planning."

"The pretense is over."

No, they're not talking about the Soviet Union.

The U.S.? We have plenty of that exact sort of thing here and now. Cry

What confuses me is that I thought people already knew about it... I don't think the pretense was ever actually that effective.

At times it was decidedly amateurish.

Most of the time I think.
