Then what? I'm always interested in ideas for a better world.

None of the slaves consented, but the movement was towards eliminating slavery. The slave states saw the handwriting on the wall, which is why they decided to secede and create a new nation dedicated to the preservation and expansion of slavery.

The people who created the CSA had even less consent than what existed for the creation of the USA, no matter which way you view consent.

I'm fine with that statement, as long as you're finally being honest about how little consent there was for the original U.S. Constitution.

Again, it is not I who claims that this or any other government is legitimate because there is consent of the governed.  Anyone making a claim like that has the burden to demonstrate that complaint.  It is not up to me to disprove a naked assertion that consent exists just because.

Snarky no more!

So you simpletons still think consent is a majority vote

There was consent, and the government operated with that general consent right up until the government decided it could usurp power, especially in 'emergencies', which as you know is anything some federal bureaucracy is set up to mishandle. Cheesy

It's not a compliant and it's not a "naked assertion".

You wanting to claim that no government can ever be legitimate for whatever reason you choose is your right, unless you live in China or Russia or Cuba or North Korea, and other places like that. Probably you shouldn't say that if you live among Jihadists who are Dreaming of a Caliphate... Especially if you are an infidel!

Obviously requiring hubeing(s) to belong to homeowners' association(s) could be violation(s) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 20 Section 2.

Good thing no one forces you to buy a home with a homeowners association then, huh?

Article 22 and 25 seem to outlaw HOAs;

Article 22.

Everyone has the right to social security and is entitled...

Article 25.

Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services

HOAs are exclusive, and therefore don't comply with socialist requirements enumerated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Governments will always devise ways to deprive an honest man of his money or property, and claim that it's legal.

"Seem to"? The bureaucrats have failed to agree on basic definitions after how many years?

I thought that, right up front, it was pretty clear that the UN rights plan outlawed freedom of association and the necessity of contract enforcement and the right to individual property.

What country's governments have patterned themselves after UN planners plans?

How many of those were successful? Name one, thanks.

Any idea how much all those failures cost, or how much collateral damage they did?

If the idea is to create anarchy and increase the number of displaced desperate people, the UN plans have been a grand success.

Edit:They are good at fixing things up to maximize tribal tensions, even when the two opposing tribes are all Koreans. Cheesy

That makes no sense at all to me, until I look at their governments, particularly at the latest iteration of Kims. Cry

No. People are lured into signing contracts they don't really understand and are then at the mercy of the HOA board of Directors who can change the rules and fees whenever they want to. It's obviously an illegitimate form of tyranny that tramples on people's rights.

And yet you think it's okay to use obfuscated contracts?
