I think you misunderstand what I was meaning.  I meant it more like: We (as in the general public) want to eat the hot dog, we don't want to know how it's made and whats in it.

Now people like you and I want to know how the hot dog is made and whats in it.  Then we would take that info and form a decision based on that.  People like us think logically not emotionally. The problem with the general public is that, emotion rules, not logic.
