What is unbiased is what is proven by science.
Right, and all scientists (most especially those depending on government grants) are totally unbiased, because science. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

For the billionth time, rights exist. You have them.
Then how can you say that rights don't exist?

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

That is the problem there, because the government and corporations that provide the grants to scientists are left-wing, they deny grants to any research that is against left-wing ideology. What is happening now in the USA is like what happened in the Soviet Union: any research that is against the ideology is banned, except that Communism is substituted with SJWism. The only solution is to have a government and corporations run entirely by Libertarians.

How about just having a government with no authority to hand our tax money to people who want to do research?

I think we actually have that now... What do you think authorizes Congress to grant money to researchers?

Corporations of course are free to give money to whoever they want to, as are private doners.

Of course they are free to give grants to whoever they want, but since they are left-wing, they will only give grants to scientists who will conduct research that promotes leftist ideology, and that is why the leaders of governments and corporations should have a Libertarian mindset that is open to all kinds of scientific research so that scientific progress can proceed unhindered and unbiased.

Jeff, enumerated powers is a dead issue.  FDR scared the court into abandoning that principle and no judge would ever be confirmed to the Supreme Court if he or she believed in enumerated powers.

"Majority rules," your favorite canard, is what determines that government can give money for research.  What?  You don't want to know all the details of the sex life of the South American Swamp Rat?

Too bad.  Majority rules, so your money will be spent on that.

Ideally, everybody in the world would be a libertarian, but I think you are certainly wrong that all corporations and private colleges and universities are filled with/run by leftist ideologues.

Anyway, if people want to use their own money to do biased research, there is really no stopping them short of using authoritarian tactics.

"Majority rules,"...
Only in certain instances.

Republican forms of government make use of majority decisions for some things, but always constrained by laws.

As I'm sure you know, only in a pure democracy does the majority always rule.
