To The Opposition,

I realized that I have badly judged you before getting to know you and what you have to say.

I sincerely apologize.

Please delete that post. You do that on this forum and you'll get eaten alive.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

[I can't think of many regulations I would support besides certification for airline pilots and medical doctors.]

You're on a slippery slope there...

What's the justification for licensing those people? If they screw up badly enough, people could die, right?

I can make a very, very long list of people who can endanger others if they don't do their jobs correctly.

The lizard (the entity that calls itself The Opposition because it's opposed to individual liberty) is a self-described evil sociopathic Vulcan dragon. You can't judge it too harshly. Smiley

I am not opposed to individual liberty. I support it. In some cases I don't like the result but I still support it.

I refuse to say I'm Human because I don't want tribal rights that come from being a member of your specific tribe. Those are conditional. They aren't rights.

I was trying to make a point about sentience and rights by claiming to be a dragon, but it was lost on this forum. So I stepped it up and claimed to be Vulcan.

I'm picturing the scene at the end of First Contact when the Borg from the future are defeated and the first time Humans meet aliens goes as it's supposed to.

Only this time, libertarians with shotguns rush out of the bushes and shoot the Vulcans because only Humans have rights. I hope that's not lost on this forum.

You continue to fail to reach any understanding of libertarian ideas and ideals. Cry

So I do get rights whether I'm Human or not? Not what you said before.

I've been entirely consistent in claiming that only humans are born with the inalienable rights that are attributed to humans.

So you believe that every human is born with Natural Human Rights.

All you have to do to have them is admit to being human and not in prison.

And in Nazi Germany, all I would have to do to have rights is say I'm not a Jew.

I don't want 'em if I have to say the right things to have them.

If you don't want human rights, quit whining about me saying you don't have them because you aren't human. Cheesy

Pretending to be a dragon got you the rights humans afford to animals, i.e. the right to be treated humanely.

Pretending to be Vulcan gets you Vulcan rights, whatever those might be if there are such things... Who knows?

Now, you imply you are a human who doesn't want to be and doesn't want human rights. That's fine, just don't complain when I say you don't have what you don't want anyway.

I told you to try your best to act human and everybody would respect your rights just as much as they respect the rights of other humans. Smiley

Anyway "getting" rights is an incorrect way of stating it. If you are human, you are born with rights. Smiley
