The Movie, "The Hunt" is Controversial?

Apparently, it depicts wealthy people hunting poor people for sport.  There is supposed to be some political spin, but it seems unclear whether the evil rich are evil rich Democrats or evil Rich Republicans.  The rich reportedly call their prey, "deplorables."

If the controversy is over the idea of humans hunted for sport, they're a little late being offended.  A wealthy man hunting humans for sport was the plot of a 1924 short story called "The Most Dangerous Game," which was one of the many depressing and twisted stories I was forced to read in public school.

Well then it's okay, you see.

I suppose the controversial bit is that, like any movie about hunting Humans, it seems to be saying one should not hunt Humans.

But of course one should hunt deplorables. They're not really Human.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

The Hunt, which was scheduled to come out September 27th, was pulled.

Universal Pictures said there is too much "gun violence" in it.

They may decide to release the film at a later date when the gun violence rhetoric cools down.

Governments will always devise ways to deprive an honest man of his money or property, and claim that it's legal.

Oh, I get it now.

So the hunters are the good guys in this movie.   Every deplorable killed is one less vote for Donald Trump.  The audience will cheer wildly.  At least in the theater footage that our media show.

Well, they should be. I doubt they're being portrayed that way, hence the controversy.

Well, there were those stupid hunger Game movies that showed the poor hunting the poor as a game for the rich to watch.

Should have the right to make whatever movie you want.  No one has to watch it and you could go BK if so.

Gotcha.

Sure, if they are depicting people who want to kill deplorables (currently defined as any Trump voters or really any Trump non-haters) in a negative light that won't fly.  Such a movie will never see the light of day (or should I say will never see the dark of a movie theater).

I'm shocked such a movie was made in the first place.

This plot has been done, probably dozens of times.

I'm guessing it was pulled from release because its a shit moving, not because of any controversy.
