I don't know if I would freeze up in that situation but I have been in street situations where I didn't.

In the video, if you notice, the employee was ready for shit even before Roy came in the door, he already has his hand on his pocket.

When I was in high school I worked part-time at a Foot Locker and at 3 pm go to deposit the money at the dropbox across the street.  One time a guy with a knife came up to me and my manager.  The manager just threw down the bag and took out his gun and told the guy to just take the money and go.

So my question remains about why they have to say allegedly for the robber and not the shooter.
it's a habit reporters get into, realizing, as most of them do, that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Not all reporters do this. Some are willing to let their ideology run away with them, and declare people guilty before they've been tried. Cry

It's pretty certain the guy shot the robber isn't it? It was legal for him to shoot the robber in self defense...

Did you watch the video?

It sounds to me as if the manager was in on the robbery...

Wait... the guy with a gun told the knife guy to take the money?

Well, it wasn't the manager's money - it was Foot Locker's money.

If it had been the manager's money, he probably wouldn't have been so charitable.

I think he was in on the robbery. He met the knife guy later, and they split the money.

The question now is, why was yamcha too stupid to see what was really going on?

You can get fired from most cash-handling jobs for not complying with a robber's demands.

Interesting that Neither Jeff nor Skychief seems to have ever had one.

This moral relativism of yours is exactly what lets government take this freedom, then that freedom, until we have lost them all.

Sociopaths will laugh when they read that.

Along with anyone who's ideology justifies murder.  Commies, fascists, religious zealots....

I ran my brother's paper route for a while when he was hurt, and when I collected, everybody paid in cash! And of course I handled my paychecks when I got paid...

Maybe the guy in the store was the owner? Or maybe he thought the owner would fire him if he let the store get robbed...
