The guaranteed annual/monthly/weekly/daily 'living share' of the 'communal pie' is the best idea, right? Edit: Solidarity!

Take what you need, but no more, thanks. Smiley Society will make you honest and selfless... Not to worry. Cheesy

Edit: As to the graphic you posted, Clown Circuses are more realistic...

Has that pic been enhanced by experts? Credentialed experts?

Tell the truth now... Grin Grin Grin

Taxes allow Transfer of wealth from those who earned it to those who didn't.

Whether a robber puts a gun to your head and says "Hand over your money." or the IRS puts a gun to your head and says "Hand over your money.", it is theft.

When a robber does it, it is illegal, but when the IRS does it, it is legal.

“Taxation is theft, purely and simply even though it is theft on a grand and colossal scale which no acknowledged criminals could hope to match. It is a compulsory seizure of the property of the State’s inhabitants, or subjects.” - Murray N. Rothbard

Governments will always devise ways to deprive an honest man of his money or property, and claim that it's legal.

Taxes just provide revenue.

If you have a government that's usurped the power to redistribute wealth, they will... That's why it's important to not grant any such power to government, and exactly why our Constitution doesn't grant such power. Smiley

But of course the Constitutional limitations on the taxing power make it very difficult to raise revenue, and virtually impossible to take the bread from the mouths of the people who earned it.

WHAT??

In 2018, the IRS collected nearly $3.5 trillion.

$3.5 TRILLION.

That's a lot of money to redistribute.

Imagine how robust our economy would be if the the people who earned that $3.5 Trillion got to spend it instead of surrendering it to the government!

Yes, ignoring the Constitutional limits on the taxing power allows them to do that.

It would be great wouldn't it?

If the federal government was held to its enumerated grants of power, they wouldn't be able to spend that much money, so they wouldn't need to raise that much revenue. Smiley

If they hadn't created a bank that can create money out of thin air, they wouldn't be able to borrow so much either. Smiley

It's all tied together, unlimited power to legislate, unlimited power to tax, and unlimited power to create money.

The solution is obvious:

Abolish the IRS and eliminate all taxation on wages and salaries.

Boom.   Problem solved.     redistribution stops,  economy recovers, stocks soar as growth is stimulated by increase in capital.

"I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."  - Thomas Jefferson

Admitting that taxes laid on wages and salaries are Direct and requiring that they be apportioned would do that. The Law is already in place, it's just being ignored.

The exact quote is this:

"if we can but prevent the government from wasting the labours of the people, under the pretence of taking care of them, they must become happy." - Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, November 29, 1802

The sentiment is the same, so it's not really important.
