If I knew what you wanted me to define, I'd probably check with Webster's Dictionary first, and then kaz would say I was wrong, and just making up my own definition... Why should I bother?

That's never happened

The text box I'm typing into is too small for me to read what Kaz said without scrolling up and I don't want to bother

I've always said your ignorance is willful.  You and Jeff both.

What you committed was the "affirming the consequent" fallacy

In other words, every single one of the arguments which consist of predicting dire events if we do not have taxes are actually events which are happening now under our system of taxation.

Every.

Single.

One.
Would you mind naming a few, so we get the idea? Thanks.

Anyway, you already know that our current system of taxation is illegal, so I won't bother telling you again. Smiley You're welcome.

Jeff, you narrow in on one specific tax, the income tax, and claim that the ratifiers did not mean it to apply to income "from any source derived," as its language plainly states.  Even if you are right, that is not opposing taxes.

Every person in America pays multiple taxes every day.

Before I start rattling off example of dire claims that eliminating taxes will cause dire consequences, can you admit that posters on here (maybe you, I'm not sure), have said that without taxes, people will camp and poop on the sidewalk?  Then will you also admit that exactly that consequence is happening in San Fran, a heavily taxed city?

Snarky no more!

So you won't name even one purported dire consequence of eliminating taxes? I'm not surprised.

I have talked about the granted power of taxation and it's limitations as they apply to all taxes, not just the taxation of incomes.

Here, read this, maybe you'll learn something about what I've been saying.

BTW, I think taxes, like government, are a necessary evil and must be strictly limited. Smiley

I often get you confused with yamcha. When you say "taxes are theft", I see it as an endorsement of anarchy, and anarchists do think any government is evil.

I did name one already:  People living and pooping on sidewalks.  Can you admit that this is a dire consequence we would supposedly face without taxes?

No.

In a state of anarchy, store owners would simply shoot people shitting on the sidewalk in front of their store. They might also shoot anyone trying to start a business in competition with them. Shocked
